About SAIL 2025

After a ten-year hiatus, SAIL 2025 returned to Amsterdam. Celebrating its 10th edition, the Netherlands’ biggest nautical event brought together ships from more than 20 countries, representing various types of vessels. For five unforgettable days, visitors explored the quays filled with ships, shows, and activities. Highlights included SAIL on Stage, the Crew Parade on Sunday, and Waves of Light, which closed every evening, all alongside other free activities throughout the city.

Role of Backbone

For this edition, Backbone International proudly took care of the technical design, technical production, overlay management, and back office for all the production suppliers, making sure everything along the waterfront, SAIL on Stage, and the Waves of Lights end show ran seamlessly, from stages to fencing to the complete energy and water infrastructure.
