Ready, set, GO! On Saturday 25th of July, Groningen’s Grote Markt became the stage for the first-ever Red Bull District Ride in the Netherlands. In just four days, the entire custom-built course was constructed, transforming Groningen’s city center into a world-class urban slopestyle venue. Divided into three districts: Big Air, Park, and Dual, the course challenged riders with a 15.5-meter roof drop, technical park features, and a dual-line format that rewarded amplitude, style, difficulty, and creativity.
Backbone International was responsible for the technical production, technical design, and overlay management. Our crew spent more than a week on-site from start to finish.
