From September 5th to 7th, Jakarta came alive with the fourth edition of Pestapora 2025, one of Indonesia’s biggest music festivals. Over three vibrant days, more than 100,000 attendees gathered across 17 performance areas to experience an incredible 287 live performances (!!).
The lineup spanned all corners of the music spectrum—pop, rock, hip-hop, indie, and more—and catered to all generations. It wasn’t just about music either; the festival also featured stand-up comedy, ensuring there was truly something for everyone.
This year’s theme, “Swapping Setlists,” invited bands to perform each other’s songs in their own unique styles. It was a fresh and exciting twist that gave audiences unexpected moments and new experiences throughout the weekend.
Additionally, since this year’s festival began as early as 9 a.m., and the first day fell on a Friday, we made sure to prepare a dedicated space for Friday prayers (Salat Jumat). The prayer was led by KH Rhoma Irama, and the space was then seamlessly converted back into a concert viewing area. This made Pestapora the first festival in Indonesia to integrate Friday prayers into the festival schedule and grounds.
