On Saturday the 1st of August, Amsterdam’s world-famous Canal Parade returned for its 31st edition, welcoming thousands of visitors to the city’s iconic canals. As one of the highlights of WorldPride Amsterdam 2026, the parade featured 80 boats, each representing a diverse range of communities, organizations, and initiatives, creating a colorful celebration on the water.
Backbone supported our friends at The Good Guyz with technical production and overlay management to deliver the grandstands at the Prinsengracht. This production involved installing 280(!!) pontoons and laying the foundation for a 570-meter-long grandstand with a capacity of 10.000 spectators, ensuring everyone had a great and safe view of the parade.
