May 2019 | Las Vegas | Insomniac
Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) Las Vegas is the biggest electric music festival in the world with over 400.000 visitors. Attendees of EDC can call Camp EDC their home away from home. Besides a place to sleep, Camp EDC offers an experience on its own with free massages, haircuts, makeup artists, yoga classes, standup comedy, various carnival rides, a pre festival openings party for 22.000 people and four after parties, 24/7 entertainment and food and drinks for five days straight.
Backbone International was asked by our client Insomniac for the full production and overlay of Camp EDC, and for the operations during the entire festival. The terrain was covered with over 8000 km2 of Astro Turf before 4.800 tents with airconditioning and power were setup. We also arranged all practical necessities for 1.500 RV’s, like power, RV water refills and pump-out. This year also more bathrooms and showers were build, and we improved the site layout and the number of check in lanes for shorter waiting times at the gates.
To make Camp EDC a truly unforgettable experience the Mesa was build. This central hub on Camp EDC contained three enormous shade structures for various workshops, a Spa Salon and 4 swimming pools. With a farmers market, general store and many food & beverage options attendees had a lot to choose from. To top it all off even a splash ride and Ferris wheel were installed.
