About Bevrijdingsfestival Utrecht 2025

In addition to our work at Bevrijdingspop Haarlem, Backbone was proud to contribute to another Liberation Day event: Bevrijdingsfestival Utrecht 2025. Held in Park Transwijk, Utrecht, the festival welcomed 44,000 attendees throughout the day, who came to enjoy performances by Dutch artists including Flemming, Lotje, Rondé (one of this year’s ambassadors), Sven Versteeg, and many others, all in celebration of 80 years of freedom.

Role of Backbone

Our team supported the production by delivering detailed overlay designs, which served as the foundation for the building and municipal teams to shape the festival grounds. Backbone also led the technical production and overlay management, overseeing key elements such as production rentals, power supply, fencing, and GPS-based layout measurements.
