Jun 2025 | Amsterdam, The Netherlands | Tribe Company & Municipality of Amsterdam
On Saturday, June 21st, Amsterdam celebrated its 750th anniversary with a one-of-a-kind festival held on the city’s ring road: Festival Op De Ring! Throughout the day, locals enjoyed over 20 activities— from a stage hosted by Kriss Kross Amsterdam to games like chess, BMX biking, padel, and dancing at Raven op de Ring and Muziekfeest op de Ring. There was truly something for everyone.
In collaboration with Tribe Company, Skills Crowd Management, Kingcanary, and Bee Agency, Backbone was part of the consortium responsible for technical production and production management across the 15-kilometer festival site. The load-in was highly complex, with just eight hours for the whole build. The production and event involved 800 crew members, 600 volunteers, 11 entrances, and 50 kilometers (!!) of fencing.
