About 538 Koningsdag

538 Koningsdag was an 11-hour nonstop show with 44 (!!) acts on one stage. It featured performances by well-known (Dutch) artists, bands, and DJs such as Roxy Dekker, Suzan & Freek, Davina Michelle, Kris Kross Amsterdam, DI-RECT, and even the nephew of our King, Prince Floris of Orange. This number of acts was achievable thanks to changovers on a 12,5-diameter rotating stage.

Role of Backbone

Behind the scenes, our team and Radio 538 worked hand in hand, taking care of every aspect of the event. From the technical design to securing permits, from managing the technical production to overseeing the production management and overlay management.

A unique feature of this event is its division into two distinct areas: the main square and a section beneath one of Breda’s primary roads. Given this distinction, our team managed the logistics to ensure that visitors and citizens of Breda experienced no inconvenience and that the build-up of this event had no delay due to traffic.
